ZTE, a Chinese-based company, launched the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra on 15 April just 2 weeks after the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra was launched. The phone is the latest member of the ZTE Axon series which consists of smartphones like the ZTE Axon 20 5G, ZTE Axon 11 5G, ZTE Axon 7 among others. The series mainly consists of high-end smartphones which are also meant to be affordable. ZTE also launched the ZTE Axon 30 which has the same design as the Axon 30 Ultra but with less powerful specs and is also less expensive.
The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra takes the Axon series to the next level with an aggressive premium-looking design, powerful chipset, and a very unique camera setup. The phone, which is available in both Canada and the USA has a starting price of $720 for its cheapest model with 8GB RAM + 256 GB storage. Its 12 GB RAM + 256 GB model goes for $766 whereas the best model in the series which has 16 GB of RAM + 1 TB of storage goes for $1022. The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra is definitely cheaper compared to the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra as the 12GB/256GB model of the Mi 11 Ultra goes for almost $1400.
Just like the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is also a high-end smartphone but it has features that are not available on the Axon 30 Ultra. The most noticeable feature on the Mi 11 Ultra would be the huge camera bump at the back which has its own tiny display. The phone is also bigger in size and boasts fast wireless and wired charging which the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra lacks. However, all this comes at a high price in the range of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. The 12GB/256GB model of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra goes for €1199 in Europe which is equivalent to $1436 in the US. However, there are cheaper variants of the Mi 11 series. The cheapest variant is the Mi 11 Lite 4G which starts from €299 in the UK, Mi 11, Mi 11i, and the Mi 11 Pro. Despite the Mi 11 Ultra has the same chipset as the ZTE Axon 30 ultra, it still manages to outdo the Axon 30 Ultra in almost every section.
