As we’ve been learning in the past weeks electronics maker MGCOOL are currently working on their next Explorer 3 action camera. This time we hear about the stabilization system that will supposedly make videos shot on this camera pretty smooth looking. Let’s learn more about it!

MGCOOL Explorer 3

The stabilization system we just mentioned above will work thanks to the built-in EIS (Electronics Image Stabilization) and the gyroscope. The combination of these two technologies should allow the camera to keep the video more steady compared to cheaper action cameras with no type of stabilization.

MGCOOL already made public that the Explorer 3 will be able to shoot 4k videos at 30fps. Scaling down to 1080p we’ll get 60fps, and then 720p at 120fps. The Explorer 3 will be powered by an iCatch V50 SoC and a Panasonic 34112 image sensor that will be able to record videos with the new H.264+ codec.

The Explorer 3 will pack a 2.0-inch touch screen, meanwhile on the front we find a 7 layers glass sharp lens with an ultra-wide 170-degree viewing angle. The action cam will also feature various shooting modes, such as slow-mo, time-lapse and burst photos. It comes with a large 1100mAh capacity battery for 120 mins of 1080p video recording and it can be taken 30 meters under water with the included waterproof case.

These are all the details we know about the MGCOOL Explorer 3 camera as of now. You can find the latest news about MGCOOL products on their Facebook page.
