Moto G50 Specs and Review
The Moto G50 is a buffed-up version of the Motorola Moto G30. It is available in Aqua Green and Steel Grey colors and a water-repellent design. It should not be mistaken to be better than the Motorola Moto G40 Fusion which was released on 1st May 2021. The Moto G50 is a low-end budget-friendly phone whereas the Moto G40 Fusion an upper mid-range 5G smartphone.
For the specs, the Moto G50 has a 6.5″ Max Vision HD+ IPS LCD display. It has a screen resolution o 1600 x 720 pixels and boasts a pixel density of 269 pixels per inch. Instead of a standard 60 Hz screen refresh rate, the Moto G50 has a 90 Hz screen refresh rate. The display uses the tear-drop design which gives it a 13 MP selfie camera placed at the top of the screen. There’s also a notification LED at the top next to the earpiece grill.
The phone runs on Android 11 out of the box. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset which is a budget 5G processor. This processor is paired with 4GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage with an option for a 128 GB model. If this is not enough, the Moto G50 can support microSD cards of up to 1 TB.Like it’s Motorola’s culture, the fingerprint scanner is rear-mounted with a Motorola logo in the center. The phone also supports face unlock which although is meant to improve phone security, does the opposite. For audio, the Moto G50 has a single speaker with smart PA, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and 2 microphones.
There are 3 cameras at the back of the Moto G50. They are a 48 MP main camera, a 5 MP macro camera, and a 2 MP depth sensor. Next to the sensors is a single LED flash. The camera can record Full HD+ videos at 30fps and 60 fps and as for HD videos, it can push up to 120 fps. It has features like macro video, slow motion video, timelapse video, hyper-lapse video, and spot color.
The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh. It is 15W charging capable and is non-removable. However, despite the 15W charging support, the phone comes with a 10W charger in the box. On a full charge, the battery can last up to 2 days with low-medium usage.
