A while ago CHUWI revealed their upcoming smaller world’s mini PC 4K LarkBox, which will go live on June 23rd on Indiegogo. With the ultra-small size and solid performance, LarkBox is looking quite promising and appealing. Now CHUWI have revealed a new feature for it. It will support M.2 SSD disk expansion, which is pretty miraculous due to the insanely small size of the mini PC.
High-speed SSD expands up to 1 TB capacity
As you can see from the actual internal disassembly diagram of LarkBox, there is indeed a reserved M.2 SSD expansion 2242 slot which supports SATA 3.0 M.2 high-speed SSD expansion storage. The upgrade process is also apparently extemely easy, so shouldn’t be a problem for anybody. Just remove the screw at the bottom and the back cover to install the SSD disk.
Powerful expansion leads to improved experience
Compared with the original 128GB eMMC storage, the expanded SSD has more advantages besides increased capacity. The biggest improvement is the high-speed reading and writing ability of SSD disks in general. With SATA SSD disk it’s easily possible to reach 500MB/s reading/writing spedd, which can actually bring better experience for daily use.
Small body, powerful expansion
LarkBox has an extremely small body size and literally fits in the palm of your hand. So it’s extremely portable and flexible for various uses. It is an excellent mini PC in both portability and practicality. And with the added extra M.2 SSD storage option it just got even better.
LarkBox will go live on June 23 on Indiegogo with crowdfunding price of $169. And signing up for news can get you even more discounts. So check it out on the official website.
