Acer made the bold move yesterday to launch the Iconia B1 yesterday, a low-cost 7-inch tablet to rival Asus and Google’s Nexus 7.

From the comments of Acer and their reps yesterday we knew the Iconia B1 would be headed to various markets in the coming months, and at an affordable price point, but we didn’t know just how much, where and when.

Thankfully it hasn’t taken Acer to long to fill us in on the details as it turns out the B1 will go on sale in Africa, Middle East and Eurpoe half way through this month, where it will be priced at €119 ($155).

On the specification front the Acer Icnoia B1 features a 7-inch 1024 x 600 display powered by a Mediatek 1.2Ghz dual-core CPU. There is also a front camera, GPS, Wi-Fi and a 2710mah battery in the Jelly Bean tablet.
